Child of the River is a collection of landscape imagery, self-portraiture, and lumen prints that pose an exploration of the places Eden has lived and the meanings she attaches to them. Creating threads between her experiences in Cornwall and her family home in Wiltshire, Eden draws upon narratives that question the construct of “home”. Through photographs and handmade books, Eden encourages new connections between self and place, uncovering dualities between herself and her sister, land and sea, Cornwall and home, and freshwater and seawater. This project documents a young woman seeking a sense of belonging in her environment.
